Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Kamberipa Enterprise (“we”, “us”), developer of the VendeLink application, handles information when you use our mobile application (“App”). By using the App, you agree to this policy.
What the App does
VendeLink is a marketplace for Namibia: browse and search properties, jobs, and marketplace listings; create an account to publish listings, message sellers, apply for jobs, and manage your profile. The App does not contain hidden modes, alternate storefronts, or undocumented tools. The following capabilities are intentional and described here:
- Guest browsing. You may view public listings and the privacy policy before signing in. Posting, messaging, and applications require an account.
- Push notifications. If you allow notifications, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging to alert you about new chat messages, job applications (for employers), and new listings from sellers you follow. Notifications may include sound or vibration depending on your device settings. You can turn notifications off in device settings at any time.
- In-app message alerts. While the App is open, a short on-screen banner (and optional alert sound) may show for the same notification types so you can open the relevant screen.
- In-app chat. Signed-in users can send threaded messages about listings. Message text, sender name, and timestamps are stored so conversations work across devices. Optional links in messages are opened externally only after you confirm.
- Listing photos and documents. When you publish a listing, you may upload photos and optionally attach documents (such as PDF or Word files). These files are stored securely and shown to people who view your listing.
- Job applications. You may apply for jobs with a note and optional attachments (such as PDF documents and photos). Employers you message with can see application details and open attached files.
- Partner referrals. Approved partners may share Google Play referral links or web links with a referral code. On Android, the Play Store install referrer may supply the code when you first install the App. If you install or open the App with a valid referral code, we store the code and record referral metrics after you accept our terms. Partners can view their stats under Profile → Partner referrals.
- Crash and usage analytics. We use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics to diagnose crashes and understand aggregate usage (not to sell your data).
- Optional feedback. After you have used the App for about a week, we may ask once for a star rating and optional comment, which you can dismiss or send.
- Listing view counts. Opening a listing may increment a view counter so sellers see interest in their posts.
- Trending search suggestions. Search queries you save may contribute to aggregate, anonymized trending terms shown as suggestions to other users. These suggestions do not identify individual users.
- Transactional email. When you contact a seller by email, receive job-application alerts, or we process moderation reports, we use an email delivery provider to send those messages.
- No individual monitoring. VendeLink is not designed or marketed to monitor another person. We do not collect precise background location, call logs, SMS content, contacts, or device activity for surveillance purposes.
- Safe external links. File and message links are user-initiated and opened externally only after confirmation. For safety, installer/app-package downloads (for example .apk, .xapk, .apks, or .aab) are blocked in the App.
1. Information we collect
- Account data. If you create an account, we process your email address, display name, mobile number (when required for registration), and authentication credentials through our sign-in provider.
- Profile and marketplace content. Information you add to listings (including titles, descriptions, prices, locations, and phone numbers you choose to show), job applications, favorites, messages, and similar features is stored so the App can function.
- Search activity. Search queries you save may be stored in your account to improve your experience. Saved queries may also contribute to aggregate trending search suggestions (see above).
- Files you upload. Photos, listing documents, job-application attachments, profile images, and moderation evidence you choose to upload may be stored in our cloud storage to display or process them in the App.
- Messaging data. Chat messages you send or receive, including sender identifiers and send time, are stored to provide in-app messaging. We may record basic delivery metadata (such as when a message was read) to improve the chat experience.
- Notification tokens. If you enable push notifications, a device messaging token is stored on your user profile so we can deliver alerts to your device. Tokens are removed when you sign out on that device.
- Referral codes. If you install or open the App through a partner referral link (including Google Play install referrer data on Android), we may store the referral code and related signup or conversion events for that program.
- Device and technical data. Our service providers may receive standard technical information (for example device type, OS version, crash reports, and diagnostic data) as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
2. How we use information
We use the information above to provide, maintain, and improve the App; authenticate users; show listings, jobs, and messages; deliver listing documents and application files you choose to share; power search; deliver notifications and transactional emails you allow or request; process applications and partner referrals; measure listing interest and aggregate search trends; prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
3. Where data is processed
The App uses the following service providers to host and operate backend infrastructure. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage (including listing photos, listing documents, and job-application files), Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, and Analytics. Data may be processed on servers operated by Google in regions they use to provide Firebase. Google’s terms and privacy notices apply to their processing.
- Algolia — listing content you publish (such as titles, descriptions, locations, and contact details shown on listings) is indexed to power search in the App. Algolia’s terms and privacy notices apply to their processing.
- Resend — email addresses and message content needed to deliver contact emails to sellers, job-application alerts, and moderation notifications are processed by Resend. Resend’s terms and privacy notices apply to their processing.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to run the App (with infrastructure providers such as Google Firebase, Algolia, and Resend), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety.
5. Retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data where applicable; some records may be retained where law requires.
6. Security
We rely on industry-standard measures provided by our platform (including encrypted transport and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your choices
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us using the details below to exercise those rights.

8. Children
The App is not directed at children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
